About
In From the Storm zine highlights Black women in comics and sci-fi. The fanzine is for and by Black womxn featuring original artwork, interviews and cultural criticism. The name pays homage to the most mainstream Black heroine in comics, Storm from the X-Men, but the name is also about finding refuge. In a world where Black womxn constantly deal with racism and sexism among other inequalities and acts of violence, I hope that this space can be a refuge and show that Black womxn opinions matter. When we see these dynamic characters that reflect us, it gives us even more power, validation and hope.
