Alex Sullivan is a poet, facilitator, activist, and educator who recently moved to Chicago, IL. They are currently the Founder of Artists Call to Action (ACTA), an associate editor for Quaranzine: Art in Isolation, and freelance copyeditor. As a mixed agender human being who has been recently transplanted, Alex’s work is often reflective of how the self is presented in the digital world and how current socio-political events can distort that presentation. Through their work, they explore the tension between the colonized and indigenous self, and how the community can make or break one’s social identity. Having grown up on the fringes of their own communities, Alex often brings a sense of the alien and otherworldliness to their work, utilizing outer space and sacred spaces as a constant muse. We cannot wait to share with you Alex's fanfiction piece for our zine! For more info on their work: https://www.actartist.com
